Best Christmas Lights in Los Angeles

Do you know where to find the coolest holiday lights in Los Angeles? Okay, so you can’t quite see the amazing tunnel of lights above (that picture was taken in Boston), but there are some truly incredible sights to be seen right here at home.

We won’t tell you about Candy Cane Lane because, of course, if you live in LA you already know about it. (And if you don’t, definitely check it out.)

But did you know about…

1. Venice Canals

The canals are decked out, the bridges are lit, and the homeowners take the beauty of the Venice Canals to a place that you will be so happy you saw. The best part? There is no line of cars, because there’s nowhere to drive. And if you know someone who lives in the area, it would be a beautiful rowboat ride. .Click here for more info on Trip Advisor.

2. LA Zoo

Griffith Park takes the holidays to a whole new level with the zoo glitzed out for Christmas. Again, no cars or congestion, just a fun and festive night out with the family.

3. Christmas Boats

In Newport Beach you can take a holiday lights cruise, or, through this weekend, you can be out on a boat during the holiday lights boat parade. INSIDERS TIP: You should make sure to dress warmly! It can be quite cold on the water. 🙂

4. Downtown LA Walking Tour

Have you ever been on a walking tour of downtown LA? No one hear has actually taken this tour, but we’ve done walking tours of the area, and they’re awesome. “Lights, decorations, festivities and holiday cheer abound as you take a s stroll through the central city during the most joyous time of the year.” Sounds pretty cool, right? Click here for details.

5. Sleepy Hollow in Torrance

This is a lesser known local neighborhood whose homeowners take holiday decorations very seriously (thankfully). Check it out on Yelp to see the kinds of decorations in store for you and your family.

Still curious about what else is out there? Check out TimeOut LA’s article for more ideas.

We’d love to hear about how you celebrate this festive season, and especially if you do any of the things on this list! Reply to this email to let us know what you did, and how you enjoyed it. You never know, we might feature you in a future newsletter. 🙂 We’re looking forward to hearing from you, and whatever you end up doing, HAVE FUN!

Happy Holidays,
Your Friends at The Point
